DTN Applications for Symbian Mobile-phones

DASM is an implementation of DTN family of protocols for Symbian-based mobile phones.

DTN stands for Delay Tolerant Networking. It is an emerging communication paradigm for challenged and extreme networks, where conventional IP family of protocols are ill-suited. Examples are Deep-Space Communication, Mobile Ad Hoc networks, Sensors networks etc.

DASM includes implementations of Bundle Protocol v4, a TCP convergence layer, a Bluetooth convergence layer and a demo application for media file transfer. Total amount of source code is around 11k (~11,500) SLOC (Source Lines Of Code).

The work was carried out, as Master's thesis, under supervision of Prof Joerg Ott at Helsinki University of Technology - Finland. The code is released under GNU General Public License (GPL). Anyone can use the software in any way permissible according to GPL. Please read the license statement (also included in the package) before any kind of usage.
